Car
If you're driving to the Ecological Sanctuary, start from the center of Monteverde. Drive on Route 606, heading towards the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. After about 2 kilometers, look for a sign for the Ecological Sanctuary on your left. Turn left onto the road and continue for about 750 meters until you reach the sanctuary's parking area. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a local bus from the center of Monteverde towards Santa Elena. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop near the Escuela Rafael Arguedas. The journey should take about 15 minutes. Once you disembark, walk approximately 750 meters north along the main road until you see the entrance to the Ecological Sanctuary on your left. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
Walking
If you are already in the Monteverde area and wish to walk to the Ecological Sanctuary, start from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve entrance. Head southeast on Route 606 for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road to the sanctuary. Turn left and continue walking for another 750 meters. The sanctuary entrance will be on your left. This scenic walk will take approximately 30 minutes and is a great way to enjoy the lush surroundings.
