From the center of Monteverde, head towards the main road (Ruta 606). Walk along the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Ruta 142. Turn right onto Ruta 142 and continue walking for approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to La Fortuna. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at El Choyin, located at F7QG+CH4, Alajuela Province, La Fortuna.

Start at the main bus station in Monteverde, located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Look for the bus that heads to La Fortuna, which runs several times a day.
