    The Arenal Volcano National Park Visitor Center is located approximately 30 minutes from La Fortuna. Set your GPS to “Arenal Volcano National Park Visitor Center”. Parking is free once you enter the park. The road is accessible without a 4x4 vehicle.

  • Public Transport

    A local bus travels from La Fortuna to the park, but it may not be reliable. Buses depart from La Fortuna bus station twice a day at 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM; tickets cost around $5 USD. From the bus stop, there is still a considerable distance to the visitor center.

  • Taxi/Uber

    Taxis and Ubers are readily available in La Fortuna. A taxi from La Fortuna to Arenal National Park will cost approximately $25 USD.
