    The most common way to reach Las Caletas Lodge is by boat from Sierpe. First, take a bus or taxi to Sierpe. From Uvita, a bus to Sierpe will cost around $157-$158. In Sierpe, check in at the Las Vegas Restaurant, one of the main departure points for boats to Drake Bay. Public boats typically depart at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM, costing $20 per person. Inform the boat operator that you are going to Las Caletas Lodge, as it is located outside of Drake Bay, and the rate may increase to $25-$30 per person. The boat ride takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Some lodges, including Las Caletas, offer private boat transportation from Sierpe.

The Caño Island Biological Reserve is also nearby, just 12 nautical miles off the coast. Founded in 1991, Las Caletas Lodge has been carefully developed with a focus on minimizing environmental impact. The lodge uses a combined system of solar, water, and public electricity to power the property, and its tour boats are equipped with low-emission engines. With only eight rooms and a maximum capacity of 20 guests, the lodge offers personalized attention and a welcoming atmosphere. Accommodations range from comfortable duplex rooms and standard rooms with sea views to adventurous tent rooms on wooden platforms. All options provide a cozy and comfortable experience amidst the sounds of nature. Some rooms are located higher on the mountain, offering memorable views but requiring a climb of about 60 stairs. Guests can enjoy delicious and healthy meals at the lodge's open-air dining room, with a backdrop of the ocean and forest. The daily rate includes breakfast and dinner, featuring Costa Rican and European cuisines with fresh fruits, vegetables, and homemade breads and desserts. Various tours are available from the lodge, allowing guests to explore the surrounding nature and wildlife. Visitors can spot sloths, macaws, parrots, iguanas, birds, monkeys, and butterflies on the property.
