Car
From Santa Rosa National Park, exit the park and head south on Route 1 (Interamericana). Continue for approximately 13 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 21. Take a left onto Route 21 and drive for about 25 kilometers. You will pass through the towns of Liberia and Cañas. After Cañas, continue on Route 21 until you reach the signs for Ocotal Beach, which will guide you toward the coast. Follow the signs, and after about 10 kilometers, you will arrive at Ocotal Beach. Make sure to have cash on hand for any parking fees, which typically range from $2 to $5.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your first step is to catch a bus from Santa Rosa National Park to Liberia. Buses leave regularly from the nearby town of La Cruz or from the entrance of Santa Rosa. The fare is approximately $2. Once in Liberia, transfer to a bus heading to Ocotal Beach. Buses from Liberia to Ocotal are less frequent, so check the schedule ahead of time. The fare for this leg of the journey is around $1.50. After about 30 minutes on the bus, you will arrive at Ocotal Beach. Ensure you have small bills available for the bus fare.
