If arriving by bus to the Sarapiquí area (e.g., from San José), disembark at a central point in the town of La Virgen. From there, Tirimbina Biological Reserve is approximately a 15-20 minute taxi ride. Taxis are readily available in La Virgen. Expect to pay around 3,000-5,000 Costa Rican Colones (approximately $5-8 USD) for the taxi fare to the reserve entrance.
