At the junction, take the left fork to stay on Route 160. After approximately 1 kilometer, look for a small dirt road on your right that leads to Playa Izquierda. This road may not be well-marked, but it will take you directly to the beach area. Note that parking may be limited, so arrive early if possible.

Public Transportation
To reach Playa Izquierda via public transportation, take a bus from Sámara to the nearby town of Carrillo. Buses run regularly throughout the day. The fare is usually around 500-1000 colones (approximately $1-$2). Once you arrive in Carrillo, you may need to take a taxi or walk towards Playa Izquierda, which is about 3 kilometers away. Taxis are available near the bus stop and should cost around 2000-3000 colones (approximately $4-$6) for the short ride.

Walking from Carrillo
If you prefer to walk from Carrillo to Playa Izquierda, exit the bus station and head south on the main road. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers, following signs towards the beach. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven in some areas.
