Getting There

  • Driving

    From Liberia International Airport (LIR), drive towards Huacas via Route 155, then connect to Route 180. Continue through Brasilito and Potrero. At Flamingo/Potrero, the road becomes Route 911. Follow Route 911 north until the 'T' intersection (Hotel Bahia Esmeralda in front), then turn left. Take a right after the Potrero soccer field onto Calle Las Catalinas and follow the road to the end. Drive through Las Catalinas to the parking area for Playa Danta. Expect a drive of approximately one hour from the airport. There is usually someone to watch over your car for a tip.

  • Walking

    From the parking lot, follow the trail past the 'Acceso Publico' sign. At the fork in the trail, head left for Playa Danta; the beach is about a 2-minute walk. No entrance fees are required.
