Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tamarindo, head east on Calle Central toward the main road (Route 155). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 155. Turn left onto Route 155 and walk along the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bus stop for buses heading to Ostional. Take a local bus to Ostional, which should take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Ostional, ask the bus driver to drop you off near the Ostional Nacional Wildlife Refuge entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Tamarindo. Start by cycling east on Calle Central, then take a left onto Route 155. Continue cycling for about 5 kilometers until you reach Ostional. Look for signs directing you toward the Ostional Nacional Wildlife Refuge as you approach the town. Parking is available near the entrance of the refuge.
