Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tamarindo, start at the main entrance of Tamarindo Beach. Head northwest along the beachfront path, enjoying the view. Continue walking until you reach the end of the beach. Once there, look for signs that direct you toward 'Playa Junquillal' or 'Verdiazul Turtle Hatchery' which are usually near the sandy area. The hatchery is located approximately 5 km from the Tamarindo beach entrance, and the walk should take around 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many shops in Tamarindo. Once you have your bike, head north along the main road (Route 155) towards Playa Junquillal. Follow the road signs towards 'Playa Junquillal.'
