Walking
From the main street in Tamarindo (Avenida Central), head northwest towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the beach area. Once at the beach, turn right and follow the shoreline. You will pass Playa Tamarindo and continue walking along the beach until you reach Playa Pelada. The walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace, and offers beautiful ocean views along the way.
Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops located on Avenida Central in Tamarindo. Once you have your bike, head northwest on the main road towards the beach. After reaching the beach, turn right and ride along the shoreline. The ride to Playa Pelada is around 10-15 minutes, and it's a pleasant route with scenic views. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow bicycle safety rules.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Tamarindo. Tell the driver you want to go to Playa Pelada. The taxi will take you directly to the beach, which is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Tamarindo. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand or ask the driver to use the meter.
Local Shuttle
Check for local shuttle services that may operate from Tamarindo to nearby beaches. These shuttles often leave from central locations around Tamarindo. Inquire at your hotel or nearby travel agencies for schedules and stops. The shuttle ride to Playa Pelada typically takes about 15-20 minutes.
