    From Tamarindo, drive south for approximately 45 minutes (35 kilometers). The route is straightforward via paved roads. Set Playa Junquillal or your hotel as the destination in your GPS. Parking is available near the main entrance to the beach, free of charge.

    From Santa Cruz, take the bus to Playa Junquillal from the Mercado Municipal. Buses depart at 5:00, 7:00, 10:15, 12:15, 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM. The journey takes approximately one hour and costs around $3. Be sure to arrive early, as bus schedules can be unreliable.

  • Taxi

    From Tamarindo, a taxi to Playa Junquillal will take approximately 40 minutes and cost around $60. Negotiate the fare in advance. Taxis are readily available in Tamarindo.
