Once a private flower plantation, the park is named after the dahlia, a flower introduced to the area by Italian operator Italo Barbeta. Today, it serves as a biodiversity and ecotourism hub managed by the Office Ivoirien des Parcs et Réserves. The park spans approximately 150 hectares and features diverse ecosystems, including 91 hectares of well-preserved primary forest and 8 hectares of secondary forest. Visitors can explore a variety of plant species and may encounter local wildlife, including 15 species of mammals and 69 species of birds. The reserve is ideal for family outings, offering gentle terrain suitable for day hikes. Walking through the reserve, you'll find towering trees, bamboo tunnels, and lush vegetation, creating a refreshing environment.
