Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey by heading towards Stari Grad from the larger cities in Dalmatia, such as Split or Dubrovnik. From Split, take the D8 coastal road towards Stari Grad. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Stari Grad, follow the signs to the town center. Stari Grad Plain is located just outside the town. You can park your car in the designated parking areas near the entrance to the Plain.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Split to Stari Grad. Buses run frequently from the main bus station in Split to Stari Grad and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Stari Grad bus station, you can either walk to the Plain (approximately 30 minutes on foot) or take a local taxi for a short ride to the entrance of Stari Grad Plain. Taxi fares can vary, but you should expect to pay around 50-100 HRK for the ride.

• Bicycle or Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider biking or walking to Stari Grad Plain. There are scenic routes from Stari Grad that lead directly to the Plain. From the center of Stari Grad, head towards the main road leading out of town, and follow the signs towards the Plain. It’s about a 4 km distance, which is great for a leisurely bike ride or a pleasant walk, taking approximately 30-45 minutes.
