    If you are in Vujnovići, you can easily walk to Kanjon Kamačnik. From the village center, follow the signs for Restaurant Kamačnik, which is near the canyon entrance. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes. The path is well-marked and offers scenic views.

  • Public Transport

    To reach Kanjon Kamačnik via public transport, take a bus to Vujnovići from larger towns in Lika, such as Gospić or Senj. Check local bus schedules for accurate timing. From the Vujnovići bus stop, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to the canyon entrance; follow signs towards Restaurant Kamačnik. A bus ride from Delnice to Vujnovići takes approximately 20 minutes.

    If driving from Delnice, head towards Vujnovići on the D3 road. After about 10 km, look for the Kanjon Kamačnik sign and turn left onto the local road. Follow this road for approximately 3 km to reach the parking area at the canyon entrance. Parking is free.

Kanjon Kamačnik, a hidden gem in the Gorski Kotar region of Croatia, is a captivating natural park that showcases the region's stunning beauty. The 3.2-kilometer-long Kamačnik brook meanders through lush greenery before feeding into the Dobra River via a small cascade near Vrbovsko. The canyon itself is carved from Jurassic limestone, featuring rapids, small waterfalls, and whirling potholes. The source of the Kamačnik is considered one of the deepest in Europe, with 118 meters explored so far. The hiking trail is well-maintained and easy to traverse, with wooden galleries and small bridges. Known as Pan's Path, the trail includes five acoustic installations for a unique experience. Along the path, you can enjoy the sounds of a gong, stream organ, bear's marimba, deer's horn, and dormouse's bells. The trail also features educational panels detailing the local flora and fauna.
