From Hvar Town, head northeast on D116. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for the ferry terminal in Split. Take the ferry to Split, which usually takes about an hour. Once in Split, follow the signs to the A1 motorway and head towards the direction of Klis. Exit the motorway at Klis and follow the signs to Tvrđava Klis. The fortress is well-marked and should be visible as you approach.

Public Transportation
Start at the main bus station in Hvar Town. Purchase a ticket for the bus to Split (the bus usually takes around 1.5 hours). Once you arrive at the Split bus station, exit and look for the local bus service that goes to Klis (Bus number 22 will take you to the Klis area). Alight at the designated stop for Tvrđava Klis. Note that the bus schedule may vary, so check the local timetable ahead of time.

Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare app from Hvar Town to Klis. This option will be more expensive but will save you time.
