To reach the Fortress of Petar Hektorović via public transport, take a bus to Stari Grad. Buses frequently run from Hvar Town to Stari Grad, with a journey time of approximately 30 minutes. From the Stari Grad bus station, walk towards the town center, following signs to the old town and Trg Tvrdalj Petra Hektorovića 12. The fortress is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. Bus tickets cost approximately 4-7 EUR. Note: Buses are timed to meet the ferries, but confirm schedules for late arrivals.

If driving, navigate to Stari Grad on the northern coast of Hvar Island. From Hvar Town, take the D116 road towards Stari Grad, a drive of approximately 20 minutes (around 15 km). Upon arriving in Stari Grad, follow signs to the city center and Trg Tvrdalj Petra Hektorovića 12. Parking in Stari Grad is available at the entrance to the city and in several locations surrounding the city from the outside. Parking lots are divided into three zones. Limited street parking is available near the fortress. Be aware of parking signs to avoid fines. Parking rates vary by zone and season.
