If you're driving from the city of Trieste, head east on the A4 highway towards the direction of Venice. Take exit 32 for Prosecco, and follow the signs for Prosecco. Continue straight on Via Prosecco until you reach a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Località Prosecco. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers. The Kontovelska mlaka (Kontovel pond) will be on your left at Località Prosecco - Contovello, 223. There's parking available nearby.

To reach Kontovelska mlaka via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Trieste's main bus station. Look for the bus line heading towards Prosecco. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Prosecco stop, exit the bus and walk approximately 500 meters along Via Prosecco towards Località Prosecco. The pond will be located on your left at Località Prosecco - Contovello, 223. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip.
