Travel Guide to Brijuni National Park

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards the town of Fažana, which is located on the western coast of the Istrian Peninsula. From Pula, take the D66 road heading southwest for about 10 km until you reach Fažana. Upon arriving in Fažana, follow the signs to the harbor where you can park your car in one of the nearby public parking lots. Please note that parking fees may apply, typically around 10 HRK per hour.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from major cities like Pula or Rovinj to Fažana. Buses from Pula to Fažana run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fažana bus station, walk towards the harbor which is just a few minutes away. Look for signs pointing to the boat departures for Brijuni National Park.

• Ferry

  Once you reach the harbor in Fažana, purchase your ferry ticket to Brijuni National Park at the ticket office. The round-trip fare is approximately 200 HRK for adults and 100 HRK for children. Ferries depart regularly throughout the day, with the journey to the park taking about 15-20 minutes. Be sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, especially during the off-peak season.

• On Foot

  After arriving at Brijuni National Park, you'll disembark at the main dock on Veliki Brijun Island. From here, you can explore the park on foot. There are several walking trails and guided tours available to help you discover the park's unique flora, fauna, and historical sites. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as you may spend several hours exploring the beautiful landscapes.
