Getting There

Driving

From Pazin, take the Žminj road and follow signs for Trošti. In Žbrlini, turn towards Trošti. Drive through the village, and a sign will point you to the right onto a gravel road towards Klemenići. The pyramid is located a short distance down this road on the right. Parking is available near the pyramid. Note that the road is narrow and unpaved in the final stretch.
Public Transport

Take a bus from Pula, Rovinj, or Poreč to Kanfanar. From Kanfanar, take a local taxi to Trošti, approximately 15 minutes away. Check bus schedules in advance. From Trošti, follow the driving directions for the final approach on the gravel road. Bus fare from Pula to Kanfanar is approximately 30 HRK. A taxi from Kanfanar to Trošti will cost approximately 150-200 HRK.
Walking

From the village of Trošti, follow the signs leading to Klemenići. The route continues onto a gravel road for approximately 2km. The pyramid marking the center of Istria will be visible on the right-hand side of the road. The walk is relatively easy, with a slight incline.

Središte Istre (The Center of Istria) near the village of Trošti, approximately 5 km southwest of Pazin, is considered the geographical center of the Istrian peninsula. The exact center was determined in 2002 using satellite imagery and geodetic maps to identify the centroid of a triangle connecting Istria's three most distant points.Today, the spot is marked by a small stone pyramid with inscriptions stating "Središte Istre" in Croatian, English, and Glagolitic scripts on each side. The surrounding area has been transformed into a small recreational area maintained by the Central Istria Tourist Board. Visitors can enjoy the tranquil environment, characterized by meadows, oak and pine groves, and traditional dry stone walls. A large oak tree and a swing add to the charm of this often overlooked location.While there are differing opinions on the precise center of Istria, with some suggesting Orljak hill near Berm or the cross on Ježenjski hill near Mali Ježenj, Središte Istre Trošti offers a tangible and accessible point to contemplate the region's geography and natural beauty.
