Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Gospić, which is a central location in Lika. Head southwest on D50 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the junction with D106. Turn right onto D106 and continue for approximately 20 kilometers. Once you reach the village of Metajna, follow the signs toward Beritnica Beach. There is a small parking area near the beach, which may incur a small fee depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a bus from Gospić to Novalja. The journey takes about 1 hour and buses run several times a day. Once you arrive in Novalja, transfer to a local bus heading towards Metajna, which operates a limited schedule. Upon reaching Metajna, follow the signs to Beritnica Beach, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.

  If you're in Metajna, you can easily walk to Beritnica Beach. From the center of Metajna, head south towards the coast. Follow the pathway that leads directly to the beach, which will take you approximately 15-20 minutes. The route is scenic, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, renting a bicycle in Metajna is a great way to reach Beritnica Beach. The ride is about 3 kilometers and will take you approximately 15-20 minutes. Follow the coastal road south, which is relatively flat and offers picturesque views along the way. Ensure that you have a bike lock, as there are places to secure your bicycle near the beach.
