Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Lika (for example, from the town of Gospić). Take the D1 road heading northwest towards Karlobag. Continue on D1 for about 60 kilometers until you reach the junction with D25. Turn right onto D25 and follow the signs toward Plitvička Jezera. After about 25 kilometers, you'll reach the town of Slunj, where you should turn left onto D1 again. Drive approximately 30 kilometers, and then take the exit toward Martin Brod. Follow the signs for Great Una Waterfalls. You will find parking available near the entrance. Note that there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Gospić to Slunj. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Once in Slunj, you will need to transfer to a local bus heading toward Martin Brod. The journey from Slunj to Martin Brod takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Martin Brod, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Great Una Waterfalls, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary, and confirm if the local bus runs on weekends.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from nearby towns such as Slunj or Gospić directly to Great Una Waterfalls. The taxi ride from Slunj will take about 30 minutes and can cost around 200-250 HRK. From Gospić, the fare might be higher due to the distance, approximately 400 HRK.
