Walking
If you are in the center of Makarska, start by heading towards the waterfront promenade (Riva). Walk along the promenade towards the east until you reach the bus station at the end of the promenade. From there, take the local bus towards Omiš. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Omiš, get off at the main bus station. From the bus station, walk towards the center of Omiš. Head up the narrow street called Ulica Josipa Pupačića, which will lead you directly to the base of the Mirabela Fortress. Follow the signs and take the steep stone stairs up to the fortress. The views from the top are breathtaking!

Public Transport
From the main square in Makarska, locate the bus station and buy a ticket for a bus to Omiš. Buses to Omiš run regularly throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Omiš bus station, exit the bus and walk straight ahead to the main street (Ulica Josipa Pupačića). Continue walking until you see signs for Mirabela Fortress. Follow the signs, which will lead you to the foot of the fortress. The path includes narrow stone stairs that will take you up to the fortress where you can enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding area.
