From the center of Makarska, head towards the main bus station located near the waterfront. You can ask locals for directions to the 'Autobusni Kolodvor'. Once at the bus station, look for a bus heading to 'Ploče' or 'Baćina'. These buses typically run every hour. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Baćina Lakes ('Baćinska jezera'). The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Baćina, follow the signs towards the lakes, which are about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a more active approach, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Makarska. Head to a rental shop such as 'Mali Ribar' or 'Bike Makarska'. After renting your bike, take the main road (D8) heading south towards Ploče. The route is flat and scenic, following the coastline. After about 10 km, look for signs to Baćina Lakes. The lakes are located just off the main road. The ride should take around 40-50 minutes.

Walking
For the adventurous spirit, you can walk to Baćina Lakes from Makarska. Start by walking along the waterfront promenade (Riva) towards the south. Continue straight until you reach the D8 main road. Cross the road carefully and follow the signs for Ploče. The walk is approximately 10 km and will take about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful coastal views and take breaks at the various beaches. Once you reach Baćina, follow the local signs to the lakes.
