Guðrún grew up in the small, picturesque town of Ísafjörður, Iceland, surrounded by stunning fjords and a close-knit community. Her childhood was filled with outdoor adventures, from hiking and skiing to exploring the rugged coastline. She developed a deep appreciation for Icelandic culture and literature, fostered by her grandmother, a renowned storyteller. After completing her studies in Reykjavik, she moved to Hannover, Germany, for a change of scenery and to pursue her passion for Nordic literature. She met her husband, Maximilian, at a local cultural event, and they quickly bonded over their shared love for travel and history. They now live in a cozy apartment in Hannover, balancing their careers with family life and their shared hobby of exploring new places.
