From the center of Makarska, head to the main bus station located on Obala kralja Tomislava. Look for buses heading towards 'Biokovsko Selo' or 'Makar' as these will take you towards Planina Biokovo. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus stops at Planina Biokovo. Once you arrive at the stop, you will see signs directing you to the hiking trails of Planina Biokovo.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at the main square in Makarska, Trg fra Andrije Kačića Miošića. From there, head east on Ulica Don Mihovila Pavlinovića, then turn right onto Ulica Kralja Petra Krešimira IV. Continue straight until you reach the edge of town, where you will find the entrance to the hiking trails leading to Planina Biokovo. Note that walking to the entrance may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Makarska, typically located near the waterfront. Once you have a bike, head east along the coast on the bicycle path that leads out of the city. Follow the signs towards 'Biokovo'. The biking route is scenic and takes you directly towards the trails of Planina Biokovo. It takes about 30-40 minutes to reach the entrance by bike.
