  • Walking

    Start at the Makarska Riva (the waterfront promenade) near the main square. Head east along the promenade towards the Hotel Biokovo. Continue walking until you reach the main road (D8). At this point, turn left onto the D8 road and follow it for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Veliko Brdo. Look for signs directing you towards Nugal Beach. Turn right and follow this road until you reach the entrance to the beach. The last part involves a short hike down a path surrounded by pine trees leading directly to Nugal Beach.

  • Public Transport

    From the Makarska Bus Station, take a local bus towards Tučepi or Podgora. Get off at the stop for Veliko Brdo. Once you exit the bus, follow the signs to Nugal Beach. The path leading to the beach is well marked. You will need to walk about 15-20 minutes down a trail that leads through the forest and down to the beach area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for the hike.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Makarska. Start from the Makarska Riva and head east towards D8. When you reach the D8 road, turn left and cycle for approximately 2.5 km until you see the signs for Veliko Brdo. Turn right onto the road leading to Veliko Brdo and continue for about 1 km before finding the trail that leads to Nugal Beach. Park your bike at the designated area and hike down the path to the beach.
