The Draškovićs transformed the castle in the 19th century, embracing a romantic, neo-Gothic style inspired by German castles. This renovation included landscaping the grounds into an English-style park with exotic trees and an artificial lake, enhancing the castle's enchanting appeal.Today, Trakošćan Castle stands as a museum, showcasing the Drašković family's original furniture, portraits, weaponry, and a period kitchen.
