Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Old Town, head towards the famous Diocletian's Palace. Once you are at the Peristyle square, take the path leading to the west side of the palace. You should see the Cathedral of Saint Domnius ahead. Walk past the cathedral and continue along the narrow street to your left, called 'Ulica Ispod ure'. After a short walk, you will find the Iron Gate on your right. This gate serves as an entrance to the old city and is a notable historical landmark.

    If you're near the Riva promenade, start walking towards the Diocletian's Palace. As you approach the main entrance known as the Golden Gate, look for signs directing you to the Iron Gate. It's a short walk from the Golden Gate. When you reach the Peristyle, follow the previous instructions of heading towards the Cathedral of Saint Domnius and then to 'Ulica Ispod ure' to find the Iron Gate.
