If you're driving from anywhere in Zagorje, head towards the A4 motorway. Take the exit for Varaždin and follow signs for the city center. Once in the city, navigate to Šetalište Josipa Jurja Strossmayera. There is street parking available nearby, but be sure to check for parking meters. Expect to pay around 10 HRK per hour.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Old Town, Varaždin via bus, find a local bus station in Zagorje. Buses frequently depart for Varaždin, and the journey typically takes about 30-60 minutes depending on your starting point. Once you arrive at the Varaždin bus station, it's a 15-minute walk to Old Town. Head southeast on Ulica Kralja Tomislava, then turn left onto Šetalište Josipa Jurja Strossmayera, where Old Town is located. Bus tickets generally cost around 30 HRK.
Public Transportation (Train)
If you prefer traveling by train, check for services from nearby train stations in Zagorje to Varaždin. The train ride takes approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Varaždin train station, take a taxi or a local bus to reach Old Town, which is about 2 km away. Walking from the station to Old Town takes about 25 minutes.
