Getting there

Train

From Zagreb, head to the main train station, Glavni kolodvor. You can take tram line 6 or 9 from the city center to the station. Once at Glavni kolodvor, purchase a ticket to Brežice. The train ride takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Brežice train station, exit the station and head northwest on Kolodvorska ulica. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cesta prvih borcev. Brežice Castle will be on your right at Cesta prvih borcev 1.

Bus

From Zagreb, go to the main bus station, Autobusni kolodvor, which you can reach by tram lines 2, 5, or 7. Once at the bus station, buy a ticket for a bus to Brežice. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving at the Brežice bus station, walk south on Cesta prvih borcev for about 10 minutes. Brežice Castle will be on your left at Cesta prvih borcev 1.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Zagreb. Start at the city center and head towards the Sava River. Follow the cycling paths along the river in the direction of Brežice. The distance is approximately 90 km and can take around 4-5 hours. Once in Brežice, follow the signs to Cesta prvih borcev; Brežice Castle will be located at Cesta prvih borcev 1.
