Getting There

Tram
To reach Medvedgrad from the city center, start at the main square, Ban Jelačić Square (Trg bana Jelačića). Take tram line 6 towards 'Zapadni kolodvor' or tram line 11 towards 'Dubrava'. Get off at the 'Mali Bukovec' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes uphill to reach Medvedgrad. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as the pathway can be steep.

From the main bus station in Zagreb, take bus number 140 towards 'Pleso'. Get off at the 'Brezovica' stop. From there, you will need to walk about 20 minutes to reach Medvedgrad. Head north on Brezovica and look for signs leading to Medvedgrad, which will guide you through the residential area and up towards the fortress.

If you are staying in the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) area, you can walk to Medvedgrad. Start from the Lotrščak Tower, walk towards the south and take the path leading to the Medvednica Mountain.
