    Getting There

    Public Transport

    To get to Žumberak from central Zagreb, you can take a bus from the main bus station (Autobusni kolodvor Zagreb). Look for buses heading towards Samobor or the surrounding areas. The bus ride should take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Samobor bus station, exit the bus and walk towards the main square (Trg kralja Tomislava). From there, you can either take a local taxi or find a nearby hiking trail that leads into the Žumberak nature area.

    Walking

    If you prefer to hike, and you're already in the Samobor area, you can start your journey from the Samobor square. Head northwest on Ulica kralja Tomislava, which will lead you toward the entrance of the park. Follow the signs for the hiking trails that lead into Žumberak. The trails are well-marked and will guide you through beautiful landscapes and forests, taking around 2-3 hours depending on your pace.

    Bicycle Rental

    For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Zagreb. You can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in the city center. Once you have your bike, cycle towards the western part of the city, following the signs to Samobor. The ride will take about an hour and a half, depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Samobor, you can continue biking towards Žumberak by following the designated bike paths that lead into the nature area.
