  • Public Transport

    From Punda or Otrobanda in Willemstad, take the Konvoi bus line 1B or the 'Schottegat' bus. Ask the driver to drop you off at the bus stop nearest to Landhuis Chobolobo on Elias R.A. Moreno Boulevard. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Landhuis. Bus fares range from ANG 2 to ANG 5. A day pass costs ANG 8.50.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Willemstad. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Landhuis Chobolobo on Elias R.A. Moreno Boulevard. The taxi ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey; it typically ranges from $10 to $15. Keep in mind that there may be a 25% surcharge for night rides (11:00 PM to 6:00 AM).

    Landhuis Chobolobo is located in the heart of Saliña, Willemstad, and is easily accessible by car. From Punda, head west on Breedestraat towards the coast. Turn right onto the Willemstad–Hato International Airport road (also known as the Schottegatweg) and continue straight. Follow the signs for Saliña Ariba. Once you reach Elias R. A. Moreno Boulevard, look for Landhuis Chobolobo on your right. Free parking is available on-site.

Landhuis Chobolobo, a historic 19th-century mansion, is the home of the Genuine Curaçao Liqueur. Located in the heart of Saliña, Willemstad, the mansion offers a glimpse into Curaçao's rich history and culture. Built in the early 1800s, the landhuis (country house) likely served as a residence for wealthy merchants. In 1946, Senior & Co., the company behind the famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur, purchased the property.The special ingredient in the liqueur is the laraha orange, a citrus fruit unique to Curaçao. The Spanish brought Valencia oranges to the island long ago, but the climate transformed them into bitter, almost inedible fruit. However, it was later discovered that the peels of these oranges contained an ethereal oil with an extraordinary fragrance, perfect for making liqueur.Visitors can take guided tours of the distillery to learn about the history of Curaçao and the distillation process of the world-famous Blue Curaçao Liqueur. The tour showcases how the liqueur is made, from drying the laraha peels to bottling. In addition to the classic blue version, Landhuis Chobolobo offers a variety of flavors, including tamarind, chocolate, coffee, and rum-raisin. After the tour, guests can sample the various liqueurs and even participate in a cocktail workshop. The landhuis also features a souvenir shop with Curaçao liqueurs and unique gifts.
