The estate originally cultivated agriculture and mined salt.Today, Landhuis Cas Abou stands as a monument to Curaçao's colonial heritage. Although it has suffered from neglect over the years, the main structure remains largely intact, offering visitors a glimpse into the architectural style of the era. The ocher-yellow building, adorned with red roof tiles and green shutters, features a gabled roof with dormers and galleries along its front, back, and sides. A detached kitchen with its own tent roof and a separate toilet building are among the unique features of the property.Visitors can explore the grounds, taking in the serene atmosphere and picturesque landscapes. While the landhuis itself is not accessible to the public, the surrounding area provides a tranquil setting for a stroll and an opportunity to appreciate the island's flora.
