Walking
If you are starting from the center of Punda, make your way to the famous Queen Emma Bridge, which connects Punda to Otrobanda. Walk across the bridge, enjoying the views of the harbor. Once you reach the other side, continue through the Otrobanda area until you reach the intersection with the main road. Head right towards Punda, making your way back towards the waterfront. As you walk, you'll see the vibrant architecture and shops. Keep walking until you reach the area known as Gouvernementsplein, where you will find the Statue of Thanks.

Locate the nearest bus stop in Punda and take a bus heading towards the main bus terminal. Ask the driver for assistance if needed; they are usually very helpful. Once you reach the main bus terminal, disembark and follow the signs towards Gouvernementsplein. You can either walk straight from the terminal or take a short taxi ride if you prefer. The Statue of Thanks is located at Gouvernementsplein, right in the heart of Willemstad.

If driving from Mahaai, head to Weg naar Westpunt, then take the exit towards Punda at the roundabout. Continue to Avenida de Julio C. S. de la Rosa until you reach Gouvernementsplein. Parking is available nearby, with fees ranging from 1 to 2 USD per hour. Alternatively, be aware of the blue zone where you can park for free for 2 hours displaying a parking disc in your windscreen, valid from Thursday to Sunday, between 11am and 9pm.
