From Kakopetria, check for local bus services heading towards Troodos Square. Buses typically run several times a day, but schedules can vary. From Troodos Square, you can either hike to Platania (approximately 4 kilometers) or take a taxi. A taxi from Troodos Square to Platania will cost approximately €10-€15.

If you are already in the Troodos Mountains, several hiking trails lead to Platania. From Troodos Square, follow the marked hiking trails. The trail to Platania is well-signposted and offers beautiful views along the way. It's about a 4-kilometer hike that should take around 1 hour to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water. There are no fees for accessing the hiking trails.
