Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the center of Famagusta. Use the main road, which is the Derya Yolu, and follow the signs for North Nicosia (Lefkoşa). Once you reach the junction at the roundabout, take the second exit towards Girne Cd. Continue straight for about 20 minutes. You will pass through a few traffic lights and after approximately 15 kilometers, you will see the Venetian Column on your left. There is limited parking available nearby, so be sure to look for designated parking areas.

Public Transportation

To reach the Venetian Column using public transport, locate a bus station in Famagusta. From there, take the bus to Lefkoşa. Ensure you choose a bus that stops at the Girne Cd area. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Girne Cd stop, disembark and walk approximately 10 minutes towards the Venetian Column. You will find it just a short walk down Girne Cd. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of your trip, as they can vary throughout the day.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from anywhere in Famagusta to the Venetian Column. Simply tell the driver to take you to Girne Cd in Lefkoşa. The journey should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and expect to pay around 30-40 euros for this route. Taxis can be found at designated taxi stands or you can call one directly.
