Walking
From the center of Kakopetria, near the Kakopetria Waterfalls on Makariou III Ave, locate the Colours Crêperie Yard. A small bridge runs over the stream next to the restaurant. Follow the path adjacent to the stream; you'll see a sign for the Vateri Trail. Continue past The Mill Hotel, keeping the hotel to your right and the water to your left. The northern access point to the trail is a short walk from the village center.

Public Transport
If arriving by bus from Nicosia (route 405), disembark at Kakopetria Square 2. From the square, walk towards the Kakopetria Waterfalls on Makariou III Ave. Then, follow the walking directions: locate the Colours Crêperie Yard, and follow the path adjacent to the stream, past The Mill Hotel, to reach the northern access point of the Vateri Trail. A bus ticket from Nicosia to Kakopetria costs approximately €3-€5.

From the center of Kakopetria Village, head towards the main road (Archbishop Makarios III Avenue) and turn onto the road leading towards Platania. Continue straight for approximately 2 km. You'll see a sign for Vateri hiking trail on your left. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads to the trailhead located at XWQ2+GQF, Παλίας Κακοπετριάς. There is limited parking available near the trailhead. Parking is typically free.
