Walking
The Kannoures - Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis trail is best accessed from the main Karvounas - Troodos Square road, 1km before Troodos Square. The trail descends into the valley towards the Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis church. From the church, it is possible to continue to Kakopetria by following the Pedoulas - Kakopetria road for approximately 3km.

While public transport directly to the trailhead is limited, buses connect major cities to Troodos Square. From Troodos Square, walk 1km along the Karvounas road to the trail's starting point. Check local bus schedules for up-to-date information and fares. A one way bus ticket from Nicosia to Troodos can cost around €5-€8.

Taxis are available in major cities and can take you to the trailhead. Alternatively, driving is a convenient option. From Limassol, take the B8 towards Troodos. From Nicosia, take the B9 and then the B8. Parking is available near Troodos Square, from where you can walk to the start of the trail. A taxi from Kakopetria to the start of the trail (near Troodos Square) will cost approximately €20-€30.
