The walk involves a gentle incline and takes approximately 10-15 minutes from the center of the new village. No costs are involved.

    If arriving by bus from Nicosia or Troodos, disembark at Kakopetria Square 2. From there, follow the walking directions to Palia Kakopetria. The bus from Nicosia costs approximately €3-€5. There are no additional costs to reach the Old Village from the bus stop.

Historically, the ground floor served as a warehouse for storing wine and food, and sometimes as animal enclosures, while families lived on the upper floor.Declared a protected cultural heritage site, Palia Kakopetria offers visitors a chance to wander its narrow, winding streets and experience the charm of a traditional Cypriot village. The village has been carefully restored, with efforts from both residents and governmental services ensuring the preservation of its original character.
