The castle is located approximately 10 km from Kyrenia and is situated on a hilltop, making it visible from the surrounding area. There is a parking area near the castle entrance, and parking is typically free.

Take a minibus (dolmuş) from Kyrenia to the village of Bellapais. The dolmuş leaves from the bus station in Kyrenia. Once you arrive in Bellapais, you will need to take a taxi to St. Hilarion Castle, as the castle is located about 5 km away from Bellapais. Taxi fares may vary, but expect to pay around 10-15 Turkish Lira (TL). Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
