    Discover more about Zambartas Wineries

Zambartas Wineries, located in the charming village of Agios Amvrosios, is a testament to Cyprus's rich winemaking heritage and the Zambartas family's dedication to producing exceptional wines. Founded in 2006 by Akis Zambartas, a pioneer in Cypriot oenology, the winery has quickly gained recognition for its commitment to quality, sustainable practices, and the preservation of indigenous grape varieties. The story of Zambartas Wineries is deeply rooted in family tradition and a passion for showcasing the unique terroir of Cyprus. Akis Zambartas, after a distinguished career in the wine industry, embarked on a mission to create wines that would reflect the island's distinct character. His son, Marcos Zambartas, joined the family business, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from his studies in Australia and his work in wineries around the world. Together, they have built a winery that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation. The winery's location in Agios Amvrosios, nestled in the foothills of the Troodos Mountains, is ideal for grape growing. The village is part of the Krasochoria, or "wine villages," of Limassol, an area renowned for its long history of viticulture. The dry climate, high altitude, and unique soil composition contribute to the production of grapes with intense flavors and aromas. Zambartas Wineries is committed to sustainable viticulture practices, ensuring the health of the vineyards and the quality of the grapes. The winery manages over 13 hectares of vineyards, tended organically by a dedicated team. They focus on indigenous grape varieties such as Xynisteri, Maratheftiko, and Yiannoudi, as well as international varieties that thrive in the region. The winemaking process at Zambartas is a careful balance of science and art. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used. The wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in oak barrels, allowing them to develop complex flavors and aromas. Zambartas Wineries has received numerous international awards, a testament to the family’s commitment to quality.
