From Peyia, Pafos Zoo is a short taxi or bus ride away. A single bus fare from Paphos to Peyia is approximately €2. A taxi from Peyia to the zoo will cost around €10-€15.

    Taxis and ride-sharing services like Bolt are readily available in Paphos. A taxi ride from Paphos Harbour to Pafos Zoo typically takes around 25 minutes and costs approximately €40. From Coral Bay, a taxi ride to the zoo is shorter and less expensive.

    Direct Transfer Bus

    Pafos Zoo offers a direct transfer bus service from Paphos hotels. The bus runs daily during the summer (April - October) and three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) during the winter (November - March). Reservations are required and can be made online. The transfer bus picks up from most hotels in the Paphos region between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, with the return bus departing from the zoo at 2:30 PM.

Founded by Mr. Christos Christoforou, initially to house his extensive bird collection, the zoo opened to the public in September 2003 and has since become one of the island's leading attractions. The zoo spans over 100,000 square meters, providing a natural and lush environment for its inhabitants. Visitors can explore a diverse range of animals, including giraffes, monkeys, meerkats, crocodiles, kangaroos, and more. The zoo is particularly renowned for its impressive collection of parrots and venomous snakes, one of the largest in Europe. Bird enthusiasts will be captivated by the vast array of species, with approximately 45% of the collection being threatened or near-threatened in the wild. Pafos Zoo offers more than just animal viewing; it provides interactive experiences such as animal encounters, a parrot and owl show, and feeding sessions.
