  • Public Transport

    From Paphos, take the bus number 633 from Evagora Pallikaridi - Charalambou Mouskou 2 station towards Praitori. The bus journey takes approximately 56 minutes, and there are typically three services a day from Monday to Saturday. Get off at the '2nd Stop Praitori 1' bus stop. From there, it is a short walk to Nelion Winery. A single fare costs €2.

    From Paphos Airport (PFO), a taxi to Nelion Winery takes approximately 41 minutes and costs between €40 and €55. Alternatively, a taxi from Paphos city center to Nelion Winery takes around 47 minutes and costs between €50 and €65.     If driving from Paphos city center, head east on Poseidonos Avenue towards the Tombs of the Kings. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the B6 road. Turn left onto the B6 road and follow the signs towards Polis. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will see a sign for Praitori. Turn right onto F616 road. Continue on F616 for about 2 kilometers, and you will find Nelion Winery on your left. Driving distance from Paphos is 44km and takes around 47 minutes.

Nelion Winery, founded in 1996 by the Ioannou family, is a charming boutique winery located near the village of Praitori, in the Paphos district of Cyprus. Situated off the Paphos-Troodos road, the winery benefits from a unique microclimate in the Diarizos Valley, characterized by hot, dry days and cool breezes from the Troodos Mountains, ideal for viticulture. Nelion Winery is known for blending traditional Cypriot winemaking principles with modern techniques. The family cultivates several grape varieties in their well-tended vineyards, producing approximately 35,000 bottles annually. This limited production allows for meticulous attention to detail, resulting in eight distinct wine labels. Among their interesting wines are xinistery aged in acacia or oak barrels, local low tannin ophtalmo, quite rare orange wine and young sparkling wine from black muskat. Visitors to Nelion Winery can enjoy guided tours of the vineyard and winery, learning about the winemaking process from passionate staff. The tasting sessions are thoughtfully curated, allowing guests to savor the distinct flavors of each wine while enjoying the beautiful landscape. In addition to wine tasting, Nelion Winery also serves as a cozy coffee shop, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a quiet afternoon. The winery also hosts various events and workshops throughout the year.
