Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Platania by public transport from Nicosia or Limassol, take an Intercity bus towards Troodos. Get off at the Platres stop. From there, walk south on the B9 road for approximately 1 km (about 10 minutes) following the signs to Platania. Bus fares from major cities to Platres typically range from €5 to €7. A local bus (line 85) from Kakopetria to Platania Forest Station is also available, costing €1-€2. A day ticket for all cities in Cyprus costs €15.

    If driving from the center of Troodos, head south on the B9 road towards Platres. Continue for approximately 15 minutes until you see signs for Platania. Turn left into the site and follow the signs to the parking area. From Kakopetria, Platania is about 6 km away on the road to Troodos. Parking is available near the entrance. There are no toll roads on the immediate approach. Car rentals range from €30 to €50 per day.
