From the bus stop in Pano Panagia, it is approximately 1.5km northeast along E703 to the monastery. You can walk or take a taxi for the final leg. Taxi fares are not fixed and should be agreed upon in advance.

Founded in 1152 by Monk Ignatius, the monastery is dedicated to Our Lady of the Golden Pomegranate. Legend says that Ignatius discovered an icon of the Virgin Mary that had been cast into the sea to protect it from iconoclasts. The monastery's architecture showcases traditional Byzantine artistry. The main church, dating back to 1770, features elegant frescoes and a silver and gold-plated icon of Christ and the Virgin Mary, believed to have been painted by Apostle Luke. Visitors can explore the monastery grounds, including a museum displaying religious artifacts. Beyond its religious importance, Chrysoroyiatissa Monastery is known for its winery, established in the 1980s. The monks produce some of Cyprus's finest wines using traditional methods.
