Car

If you are driving from the center of Bohemian Paradise, head towards Turnov and take the road E65. Continue on E65 until you reach the junction for State Road 35. Merge onto State Road 35 and drive towards Liberec. After approximately 15 km, take the exit for Staré Křečany. Follow the signs to Brtnický castle, which is located in the area of Staré Křečany-Výdejní místo Brtníky. The castle is situated at coordinates 50.9268709, 14.4227716, so you can also input these coordinates into your GPS for precise navigation.

Public Transportation

To reach Brtnický castle using public transportation, take a train from Prague to Turnov. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. From Turnov, you will need to transfer to a bus heading towards Staré Křečany. Check the current bus schedule at the Turnov bus station. Once you arrive at the Staré Křečany bus stop, you will need to either walk or take a taxi to the castle, which is approximately a 3 km distance away. It is advisable to check local taxi services or use a rideshare app to arrange transportation from the bus stop.

Walking

If you are already in Staré Křečany and prefer to walk to Brtnický castle, begin at the center of the village and head northwest on the main road.
