Bus
From the center of Kutná Hora, walk to the bus station located on Palackého náměstí. Take bus number 400 towards Český Šternberk. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Český Šternberk' stop. Once you disembark, the Český Šternberk Castle is a short 10-minute walk uphill. Follow the main road (Český Šternberk 1) directly to the castle entrance.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kutná Hora. Head south on the main road leading out of the city, following signs for Český Šternberk. The distance is about 15 kilometers and takes roughly 1 hour to bike. Upon arrival, park your bicycle in the designated area near the castle and walk to the entrance.
Walking
For those looking for a scenic route, you can walk to Český Šternberk Castle from Kutná Hora. Start at the Church of St. Barbara, head south on Barborská street, and continue onto the path that leads through the countryside. Follow the signs for Český Šternberk. The walk is about 15 kilometers and will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, but you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the castle, you can enter through the main gate.
