    From Prague, take the train from Praha Hlavni Nadrazi to Sazava Zastavka. Trains depart a few times per week, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour 38 minutes. From the Sazava Zastavka station, it's about a 25-minute walk (2km) to the Glass Art Centre. Alternatively, take bus 382 from Háje metro station in Prague to Sázava,Klášterní. From there, it is about a 20 minute walk to the Glass Art Centre. Train fare: 95 Kč - 200 Kč. Bus fare: 30 Kč - 40 Kč.

    From Prague, take the D1 highway towards Brno, exiting after 34 km at Ostředek. Follow the road for 10 km to Sázava. From the town center, follow local signs to the Glass Art Centre, located on Na Kácku 218. Expect to pay around 200 Kč - 300 Kč for gas for the 54 km journey from Prague. Free parking is available near the Sázava River bridge, a short walk from the Glass Art Centre.

Located in Sázava, the Glass Art Centre within the original Glassworks Frantisek, dating back to 1835, stands as a monument to Czech glassmaking. This renovated center aims to preserve and promote the nation's rich glass manufacturing heritage. The center comprehensively presents individual glass technologies, from the delicate art of incense application to painting, grinding, polishing, and sanding. The glassworks showcases the evolution of glassmaking, from its historical roots to contemporary practices. In 2010, it earned recognition as a cultural heritage site of the Czech Republic. The glassworks itself was established by the Kavalír family, who bought a mill in 1835 and built the Svatý Prokop glassworks nearby. Josef Kavalír later constructed the František glassworks in 1882. The center also features a large-scale projection in Czech, English, and German, alongside a display highlighting the racing successes of Czech motorcycles in the 20th century.
